Watercolour Supplies - Paints, Brushes, Papers

I'm an amateur watercolourist, and in this post, I'll show you my art supplies. I've been painting since 2017, but I do not paint very often. (I usually paint under pressure when I have a submission etc OR when I'm super free) Honestly, I have to paint more!

Below is my piece of artwork completed in November 2019:

Paints
When I started out, I used Pentel 24 Tubes Watercolors. After that, I decided to get professional paints as there is a difference in higher quality paints. I got the Daler Rowney Artists' Watercolor Tubes because they were on sale. Daler Rowney is a brand with high reputation so I was quite glad I got their paints.

Brushes
Currently, my favourites are Daler Rowney Diana Kolinsky Sable brushes size 6 and 8, Silver Black Swan, as well as the Da Vinci Petit Gris Pur squirrel brush. I have several other brushes which I have bought but haven’t used. They include Martini, Daler Rowney student brushes, Raphael and some Chinese brushes.

Paper
Initially, I got some cheap watercolor papers from China. I then switched to Campap 200gsm watercolor papers and Derwent Student grade papers. Then, I got Fabriano 190gsm watercolor papers, but they are not quite good to paint with because it’s not cold-pressed cotton. I got some other papers which I haven’t tried which are Canson 1557, Canson student grade, Saunders Waterford, Winsor Newton, Baohong student and Baohong artists. I can’t wait to try them but I am so busy with my studies right now I have no time to paint.

Here are some of my other artworks completed in October 2019:

These were completed for my school project under visual journal. We went to a mall so we sat down at these places to experience the atmosphere and draw it out.
